Preparing and Tagging your Items

The bottom portion of the sale tag will be removed when your item is sold.  Your seller number and the sale price on the bottom portion will be used to calculate your total sales.  It is important that the instructions for tagging your items be followed closely so that you receive proper credit for all of your sales.

NEW PROCESS FOR 1/2 PRICE and NO DONATE items:

  1. 10798-4-600x600-1If you do not wish to sell an item at 1/2 price, affix an orange sticker to the back of your tag (stickers can be purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N17X862/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 [amazon.com] or you can pick up stickers at the front desk at the Franklin Education and Community Center (8255 West Forest Hill Avenue).
  2. neon-green-dot-hiIf you do not wish to donate an item at the end of the sale, affix a green sticker to the back of your tag (stickers can be purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N17X862/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 [amazon.com] or you can pick up stickers at the front desk at the Franklin Education and Community Center (8255 West Forest Hill Avenue).

Also:

  • All items must be clean, free of stains or tears and have a sale tag attached.
  • The template for the sale tags will be sent as an attachment to the email when we send you your seller number following registration.  Use that document to print-off your own tags or you can purchase a sheet of 12 tags for $0.25 per sheet at the front desk at the Franklin Educational and Community Center (8255 West Forest Hill Avenue).
  • If printing your own tags, try to use a heavier card stock paper as standard copier / printer paper is more likely to tear off.
  • Use only 1 tag per item.  If you need more space for information, attach a different piece of paper to the item.
  • Adding your seller number to the tags prior to printing provides for less errors and makes tagging much easier!
  • Be sure to include your seller number and the sale price on both the top and bottom of the tag.  We must be able to easily tear off the lower portion of the tag.  Do not tape the bottom portion of the tag to the item.
  • Tags with crossed out or otherwise changed seller numbers or prices will not be accepted.
  • While not required, adding a brief description to the tag helps us to match a tag to an item if they become separated (i.e., Justice leggings).
  • Use increments of $0.25 when pricing your items.  If you do not, all items will be rounded up to the nearest $0.25. This simplifies checkout and calculation of your total sales.
  • If your item has multiple pieces, be sure all pieces are accounted for.  If anything is missing, please make note of this on your tag and price accordingly.
  • DO NOT USE STRAIGHT PINS TO SECURE THE TAG!  Use a safety pin or plastic tagging fastener to attach tags to clothing.  For the safety of our shoppers and volunteers, any items with straight pins used to attach tags will be removed from the sale.
  • Do not staple tags to clothing.
  • Affix sets together securely and indicate “2-piece set” on your tag in case pieces become separated.
  • There is limited space to hang items near each size table to display items on a first-come, first-served basis.  Some hangers will be available although hangers will not be returned.
  • Zip plastic bags work well for items with many pieces.  Taping over the zipper portion will discourage it from being opened.  Tape the top of the tag to the outside of the bag.
